| CHARACTER INFORMATION- Canon Character and Series: Venus [Metal Gear Acid 2] In-Game Name: Elysia "Lucky" Carter [Alias]/ Codename: Venus Age: 23 Gender: Female Position & Ship: The Winding Way, Passenger Appearance: The first noticeable feature about this woman who calls herself 'Lucky' is that she has long blond hair that travels past her petite shoulders and down along her back. Her eyes are blue and cloudy much like a sky-blue topaz gem and her skin tone is rather fair. She is a pale beauty who has a fragile facade about her because of her rather slender form. However, when dressed in the sleek crimson and black spy suit she wears the illusion of her being a fragile beauty fades to something of a more sinister air. She normally carries clips of ammo and a combat knife on her person, concealing shuriken (knives) within the sleeves of her shoulder pads. Her combat gear consists of a black and red body suit that cuts off just along her thighs like a short leather dress. Venus dons thigh high red boots that are laced in the back and a few belts and buckles around her waist. Personality: Venus is a quiet person, the kind of person who does not speak unless spoken too. She does not say more than what is needed to be said and does not like those who gossip too much. She is a secretive person who values her space away from others and spends her time focusing upon the task without any falter. Venus is a veteran soldier who is completely ruthless in pursuing her mission goals and does not hesitate to take the life of those who get in her way. She is a woman who has forgotten everything about herself and shows little, if not, no emotions towards others. Venus lacks any morality and does not show any compassion in battle. She is known to have a loose tongue, quick to mouth off at others who she views as 'worthless' for having little or no combat skills at all. Venus dislikes weakness, especially disliking weakness in other women. Considering that she views herself as a more than capable individual, Venus shows no sympathy for those who cannot defend themselves. To many, she comes off as a frigid and aloof beauty who seems disinterested in the lives of others. Venus is an enigma. However, under the alias of 'Elysia Carter', she is not as standoffish and unapproachable like her usual self. She is not a social butterfly but she plays the role of the shrewd and witty reporter with relative ease. Elysia knows how to hold a good conversation and how to keep the conversation topic off of herself. The entire friendly and slightly goofy personality she makes for Elysia is fake but that does mean it is easy to recognize her lies. Though, there is times when 'Venus' sometimes show her true colors because of her disdain for the weak remains. There are times when Ms. Carter just does not seem very friendly but Venus tries desperately to keep those moments far and few in-between. |
Abilities/Weapons: Venus is a sharpshooter, adept in using various types of guns and rifles in combat. She knows basic military hand-to-hand combat tactics and is rather swift on her feet. Venus also does rather well using knives in combat, very crafty and intelligent individual who can hack secured networks and messages with relative ease. She also an expert dealing with explosives, Venus knows how to make and dismantle bombs. On a more clairvoyant skill level, Venus considers herself quite 'lucky' for she always guesses 'right'. This supposed 'luckiness' translates best when speaking about her skill using diving rods in her practice of dowsing. Dowsing, sometimes called divining or water witching, is the practice which dowsers say permits them to detect hidden or buried water, metals, gemstones, or other such objects without the use of scientific apparatus. A Y- or L-shaped twig or rod is used during dowsing, but some dowsers use other equipment or no equipment at all. Her supposed dowsing powers mostly work in her favor to retrieve goods and treasures she is searching for, however, her powers do not always bare fruit for her hard labors and Venus sometimes becomes quite frustrated with this form of practice. She is a good guesser more or less, one who rationalizes with logic unintentionally but gives her presumed supernatural abilities most of the credit. Venus considers her 'good luck' to be her strongest asset for she honestly thinks she can never lose. However, despite what she may think, no human is perfect and her supposed 'lucky streak' is superficial at best. She is a very skilled agent but she is certainly not infallible but her past successes out on the field outweigh her few failures. How well can your character hack?: Considering she can hack into data bases and such in her canon and the fact she works as a spy, Venus is very much a hacker and can crack the toughest codes. Weaknesses: Her blind loyalty to General Wiseman is perhaps her greatest fault for he is not a man to be trusted. Venus desires to know more about her exclusive past, willing to do anything possible in order to retrieve her missing memories. She is fiercely loyal to the Confederacy and works willing as their hired gun without any qualms. Venus lacks any true knowledge between right and wrong, lacking the sensible morality than many of us take advantage. Her cold and merciless demeanor is her greatest downfall for it makes it hard for her to assimilate herself into normal everyday life and makes her stand out like a sore thumb. Venus' lack of empathy makes her a rather formidable foe but at the same time makes her appear less than a person for she seems to act more like 'tool' rather than as an individual. |
